Meet our Coaches

Head Coach: Michael Cipot – Head Football Coach

He led the 2023 team to its first undefeated regular season in 23 years and only the 3rd time in NBTHS Football history. He led the Raiders to the Group 5 State Finals in 2021 for the 3rd time in school history, and his 2nd appearance in the title game. 2023, 2022 and 2020 BCC National Silver Division Titles and a 2019 White Division Title. North Brunswick has been ranked in the top ten in all of Group 5 since 2018. In 2018, the Raiders went 10-2 marking the most wins in a season along with a trip to the Group 5 State Finals for the first time since 1979.

All Time Leader in Winning Percentage at NBTHS Football and ranked 2nd all time in wins. The 7 consecutive winning seasons (2017 to present) ranks 2nd all time. NBTHS Defensive Coordinator in 2016 and Special Teams Coordinator of the 2010 Division Champion and State Semi-Final Team.

● 9th year as Head Coach of Raider Football (58-23 record). 19th year coaching 13th at NBTHS.

 

● Winning Head Coach of the 2023 Marissa Rose Bowl Middlesex County All Star Game.

● 2020 BCC National Silver and Central Jersey Radio Coach of the Year. 2019 White Division Coach of the Year and New York Jets High School Coach of the Week. 2018 GMC Coach of the Year.

● Former Defensive Coordinator at Immaculata High School under Hall of Fame Head Coach Tom Falato. Also a former Defensive Coordinator at Metuchen
High School under former NBTHS and Hall of Fame Head Coach Sal Mistretta. Coached in the State Playoffs with all three schools.

● Graduate of NBTHS and Captain of the 2000 Division Championship Football Team earning All White Division and All County Honorable Mention honors as a senior. Also played basketball at NBTHS.

● Graduate of Wesley College (B.S) and Seton Hall University (M.A). Played Offensive Line at Division III power Wesley College earning All-Academic Team Honors. Special Assistant to the Offensive Coordinator for Wesley’s 2005 NCAA South Region Champion team.

● Supervisor of Health and Physical Education K-12 in North Brunswick.

● Resides in Middlesex County with his wife Lauren and their children Anthony and Camryn.

Dan Gorzynski

Offensive Coordinator / QB’s / Assistant Head Coach

– 5th year at NBTHS.
Served as the Special Teams Coordinator for the State Finalist Raiders in 2021. Offensive Coordinator since 2022. Ran an offense that ranked 3rd all time in points scored (304). Also an offense that ranks 2nd (33.8) and 4th (27.8) all time in points scored per game. A finalist for Assistant Coach of the Year in NJ. Coordinator of Raider Football’s Leadership Council and Speed Program.

8th year overall including two years as the Offensive Coordinator at Jackson Liberty and three years at South Brunswick including the 2017 State Championship season. Graduate of South Brunswick High School where he played football, lacrosse, and hockey for the Vikings. Earned All-GMC Football and Lacrosse as a senior.

Graduate of the College of Wooster with a B.A. in History with a minor in Education. Two-sport athlete for the Fighting Scots in Football and Lacrosse where he was a captain. Currently teaching History at NBTHS. Resides in Monmouth County.

James Lopez

Special Teams Coordinator / Running Backs / Linebackers

3rd year at NBTHS. Coaching as the Special Teams Coordinator along with Running Backs and Linebackers at NBTHS. Coordinator of the Raider Football’s Leadership Council. 5th year overall coaching; including 3 years at Sayreville which included Freshman, JV and the Strength Coach.

Graduate of Sayreville High School where he played football for the Bombers. Graduate of Seton Hall University with a B.A. in English and Education. Currently teaching English at NBTHS. Resides in Middlesex County.

Kyle Harkins

Defensive Coordinator – Safeties – Tight Ends

-5th year at NBTHS.
Coaching the secondary for the Raiders focusing on the Safeties. Helped lead a defense in 2023 that only surrendered 84 points all year and 13 takeaways. Coordinator of Raider Football’s Strength Program. 7th year overall coaching including two years at Spotswood and one year at Watchung Hills. Graduate of Spotswood High School where he played football for the Chargers. Graduate of William Paterson University with a B.A. in Communications.

Captain and three year starter at linebacker earning Honorable Mention Honors as a senior for the Pioneers Football Program. Currently teaching Elementary Education at North Brunswick. Resides in Middlesex County.

Jake Rosenberg

Wide Receivers/Defensive Backs

-6th year overall at NBTHS.

Head JV Football Coach in 2020, and also served as Special Teams Coordinator. Currently the Head Varsity Baseball Coach at NBTHS. Graduate of NBTHS. Key member of the 2010 Division Champion and State Semi-Finalist Football Team earning All County Honorable Mention Honors. Also played baseball at NBTHS earning All County Honorable Mention Honors. Graduate of the University of Missouri, School of Journalism (B.A). Works at Innovative Document Imaging. Currently works at the High School in Special Education. Resides in Middlesex County.

Key member of the 2010 Division Champion and State Semi-Finalist Football Team earning All County Honorable Mention Honors. Also played baseball at NBTHS earning All County Honorable Mention Honors. Graduate of the University of Missouri,School of Journalism (B.A). Works at Innovative Document Imaging. Resides in Middlesex County.

Angel Gonzalez

Offensive Line /Defensive Line / JV Defense

-3rd year coaching at NBTHS.

Works with the Offensive & Defensive Lineman. He is also the JV Defensive Coordinator. Captain of the 2018 football team that had a school record of 10 wins and reached the State Finals for the first time since 1979. Started right tackle for 2 years along with playing Defensive Line.

Graduate of NBTHS Class of 2019. Served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps. Currently works at NBTMS with the Security team. Resides in Middlesex County.

Kambui Little

RB / DL

Coach Little’s 8th year coaching and 2nd year NBTHS/9th year total. Comes from experience as a freshman and JV coach at Franklin where he coached WR’s and DBs and then as the defensive coordinator at Highland Park.

Graduate of Absegami High School where they played in back to back state championship’s winning one.

Played 1 year of collegiate football at Rutgers University.

Graduate of Rutgers University earning a BS in Exercise Science and MA in Mental Health and School Counseling at Kean University.

Resides in Middlesex County with his wife Erin and children Emmanuel and Eden.

Nate Gershon

WRs/Secondary/JV Offense

-2nd year on Raiders Staff

-Coaching the JV Skills positions and running the JV offense.

-Currently teachers Physical Education at Livingston Park in North Brunswick. Graduate of Rowan University (BA) in Health and Exercise Science. Resides in Middlesex County.

Chris Anderson

OL/DL/ JV Coach

-2nd year on Raiders Staff

3rd year coaching football at the varsity level Spent 2 seasons at Franklin Directly coached 3 first Team all area selections.

Two second team selections. OL/DL/TE/Run game Graduate of Franklin high school in 2017. 3 year varsity football player at Franklin high school, All conference as a senior.

Graduated from Lock Haven university in 2021 with a B.S in Health and Physical Education/ Coaching with a minor in Exercise and Sports psychology.

Played football at LHU. Started 22 games at Lock Haven University In 2019 Started 10 Games on the #1 rushing and #1 passing offense in the PSAC.

As an offensive line unit Had the least amount of sacks given up in the Conference with 12.

Blocked for a 2000 yard rusher at RB, 1000 yard rushing QB and Two 1000 yard receivers. Over 4000 yards rushing as a RGU. (Run Game Unit) Last year at Lock Haven(2021) Had 89 knockdowns and 1 sack given up individually. Resides in Somerset, NJ with his wife Alicia
